Sequa visit to Confirel

As part of a sourcing mission to Cambodia, Sequa, a company based in Germany, and Import Promotion Desk IPD, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation, visited Confirel on May 10.

Sequa is an internationally operating development organization with one of its objectives to ensure the development of the private sector. One of its main areas of action is the promotion of trade, especially in the agricultural sectors of natural ingredients.

“We are working in collaboration with the Business Scouts for Development of GIZ and are looking for companies ready to export to the European market. As European importers and European import requirements are very high, a careful evaluation of the product and the producing companies has to be done. In doing so, we always work ‘demand-driven’, which means that we look for products that are requested by European importers and meet their expectations”, explained one of the officials.

During the visit, Sequa representatives got to know our team, our products and our production site. They also checked documents (certificates and standards). One of the objectives of the project is to facilitate Confirel’s participation in BioFach, the leading trade fair for the organic food sector in Germany and one of the most important trade fairs in Europe. Sequa will already promote Confirel in its brochure for BioFach 2023, which will take place from February 14 to 17 in Nuremberg. It will bring together 3,200 exhibiting companies and around 51,000 trade visitors have already confirmed their attendance at the event.
